Jan 15, 2016 - Without holding a control point solo or as a 2 man team, there is no faster leveling than on the large red spiders. Anyone who took a look at Experience Points (XP). The only real distinctions XP provides are its mining algorithm. The Smart Mining Pool.

With the new Recruit a Friend program unveiled this week, it's the perfect time to think about leveling! This guide covers ways to improve your leveling experience and useful beginner info for new Recruit-a-Friend players! Patch 5.4 made it pretty easy to get epics once you're 90, so let's talk about what you need to do to get there! We've covered the basics like how to gain experience, transportation, and talents, as well as ways to speed up leveling like experience buffs and Recruit-a-Friend. We also look at some gear details, like heirlooms that increase experience gained, scaling enchants, and gems that can be used at different levels. Click the cut to read the guide! Recruit-a-Friend Overview • RaF (Recruit-a-Friend) is a program that allows new players to level quickly.

It can be set up from the Account Management page and lasts 90 days after creation. • RaF stacks with heirlooms, but not rested experience. RaF grants triple-experience to the original and recruited player, as long as they are within 100 yards, 4 levels of each other, in a party, and are killing mobs and turning in quests that are above grey quality. • For kills that already grant reputation, linked players get a 10% reputation boost. • The original player is granted one freebie level for every two levels the recruited player gains. This level can be granted to a new character on the recruited account, up until level 85. • You can now get started recruiting friends from directly in-game.

There is a new Recruit A Friend button on your Friends List that allows you to email anyone Starter Edition activation keys. Rewards When a recruit purchases one month of game time, the veteran player gets one free month of game time. One week after a recruit successfully purchases two months of game time, the veteran player can select one of the following eight rewards to add to their collection. With enough friends, you can collect all of the special rewards.

All of the former RAF mounts are now available, which are tied to achievements: •: Zebra ground mount. Original RAF reward, retired in Wrath. •: Two-seater flying rocket mount.

Introduced in Wrath, retired at end of Cataclysm. •: Two-seater flying panther mount.

Introduced at end of Cataclysm. •: New hippogryph flying mount. Introduced in Mists of Pandaria. Pets that were only available on Asian servers are now RAF rewards: • teaches: Critter, Breed 7 H/P.,,,,,. This was formerly available on Chinese servers in 2008 for the New Year's Celebration.

• teaches: Critter, Breed 7 H/P.,,,,,. This was formerly available on Chinese servers in 2008 for the New Year's Celebration. •: Magic, Breed 3 B/B.,,,,,. This was a gift to players on Chinese servers after the servers had been offline for several months. •: Magic, Breed 6 H/H.,,,,,. This was formerly a Taiwanese server promotion pet. Experience Gains To level, you must collect a certain amount of experience, which keeps increasing as you level further.

As we've outlined below, pretty much anything grants experience. The leveling flow has been simplified a good deal in Cataclysm; if you stick to one path, you may find yourself outpacing your instances and quests. Always be ready to leave a zone if the quests are too easy, or switch to instances if a zone just isn't interesting.

• Most every player will gain some experience by killing mobs. The color of the mob (green, yellow, orange, or red) will determine the amount of experience you receive and show how easy or difficult the mob is to kill. Mobs marked as grey give full reputation but no experience.

Setting Up A BridgeCoin BCO Miner. If a mob has a skull instead of a colored level, this means you are probably too weak to kill it on your own. If you group up with a higher-level friend while killing mobs, your experience gained will be drastically reduced. Cataclysm and MoP have added many rare mobs to leveling zones--killing these will give large amounts of experience. • Quests: grant experience in a similar fashion to mobs--they use the same color-code.

Grey quests give full reputation but minimal experience. Try to stick to quests that are yellow or orange. Some group quests, which grant additional experience, can be soloed by some classes. • Professions: Every successful dig grants experience and it's affected by rested and heirloom buffs. And nodes also grant experience that scales with rested and heirloom buffs. The experience gained is based your level and the profession skill level required to loot the node.

• Chests: In patch 4.0.3, new treasure chests were introduced throughout all zones that do not require to open. These chests mostly contain rare BoEs and some coin, as well as granting experience.

These are different from normal locked chests and those found in instances, which continue to grant no experience. • Exploring sub-zones will grant small amounts of experience. When you explore a new part of a zone, it fills in that area on your map. • are sub-zones that five players can party up and battle in. Players are eligible to queue up for random dungeons at level 15; at this point, a Dungeon Finder option will appear on your mini-bar (hotkey letter i). Queueing for a random dungeon will reward you with better experience and containing useful leveling gear--until queueing for Wrath instances.

After this point, you will receive and gold. Bosses in instances tend to drop better loot than you'd get from simply solo questing--make sure to pick up the as soon as you zone in. They grant good rare-quality rewards and lots of experience as well--but tend to die out once you hit Outlands. Another option is to have a high-level friend run your low-level toon quickly through an instance to save time and easily get specific gear. • In patch 3.2, battlegrounds were changed to grant experience.

You will not get experience from killing other players, but rather from winning battles and collecting resources, depending on the game. For example, in WSG, you'll gain experience for wins and flag caps, while in Arathi Basin, you'll gain experience for collecting certain amounts of resources over time. You can queue for at level 10, at level 10, at level 35, at level 45, at level 65, and at level 75. Use the PvP tab on the minibar to queue up (hotkey is H), or speak to a in a capital city. In addition, completing quests in will grant experience. • New to Mists of Pandaria, pet battling awards experience as well.

To see about optimizing your pet team, check out our Bind on Account Heirlooms Heirlooms are BoA (Bind on Account) items that provide experience boosts and can be mailed to any of your toons on the same server. As you level, the stats on these items increase, so you do not have to worry about constantly upgrading some gear. The experience bonuses on items all stack as well. Heirlooms are acquired with (primarily from running dungeons) and from PvP. Some of these heirlooms can also be acquired from doing Argent Tournament dailies or from the.

In 5.2, you can also upgrade your heirlooms to work until level 85, up from level 80. Many of these heirloom items have namesakes in strangely-itemized gear from Vanilla.

Odd as these items were, they were considered must-have for the time and became iconic. Comment by Celestri on 2013-11-16T15:04:24-06:00 Nice guide, this is definitely a great spot to point new players towards. Thanks for what you do, Wowhead! Comment by Arraya on 2013-11-16T15:45:41-06:00 Very nice guide. Emercoin EMC Mining Calculator Gbp there. I'm the type of player that likes leveling up alts, so even if I don't recruit friends this is a nice thing to have (It's going to my Bookmarks!). Thanks for putting this up together Perculia!

(b^_^)b Comment by Ezekington on 2013-11-16T15:57:11-06:00 'the veteran player gets one free mount of game time.' Comment by Levarus on 2013-11-16T16:08:01-06:00 Good for newbies, I thought it would talk more about questing from 85 - 90 though.

Comment by Ro0ni on 2013-11-16T16:17:35-06:00 Thank you for the information about the changes in 5.4. This guide might come handy if I have the chance to go back home and play again.

Comment by perculia on 2013-11-16T16:51:41-06:00 Questing from 85-90 is pretty easy--however, there's a subset of BoAs for 85-90 and I have some MoP zone previews from beta.so I could see doing another guide specifically for the last five levels. 'the veteran player gets one free mount of game time.' Month* not that it really matters. Comment by Darkhorizons on 2013-11-17T00:42:38-06:00 Surprised not to see mention of using pet battles as a sub base of exp while leveling. Makes levels 80-85 a good deal easier, especially on PvP servers. Comment by Zuji on 2013-11-17T05:08:22-06:00 Uhm, I might have missed it, but did you mention rares and addons to detect those? A rare mob usually gives around ten times the kill xp than other mobs of his level.

Comment by mordif on 2013-11-17T05:58:00-06:00 Does the recruitee need to purchase three months of game time or will a single two month card work for the recruiter to earn the full reward package? Comment by Zuji on 2013-11-17T06:35:18-06:00. Experience is increased on Call to Honor weekends.

Which are no longer in the game. Comment by NeuromanteGoblin on 2013-11-17T07:45:45-06:00 Fun is really a very subjective thing.

I had fun with my first two chars, but leveling all the rest until my tenth max level I have now I was fed up with questing and killing mobs, I leveled them through dungeons only. Besides, nobody forces you to use all the XP boost mentioned in this guide. You can still go the old way and level without heirlooms doing quests in the appropriate zone. Comment by NeuromanteGoblin on 2013-11-17T07:47:45-06:00 Rare mobs are now marked as a skull in the minimap. NPCscan is still very useful, but not essencial. Comment by Zuji on 2013-11-17T10:45:17-06:00. Rare mobs are now marked as a skull in the minimap.

NPCscan is still very useful, but not essencial. Only rares on Pandaria are marked thusly, though. I was talking about rares in general. Wrath and Cata ones are marked with skulls now too.

Comment by leser on 2013-11-17T22:16:41-06:00 Can you please add a section for: Glorious and other rare locations, they give boat loads of exp, and not everyone knows rare spawn spots. Is another man's treasure. These are rare 'chest-like' items throught MoP that give an insane amount of exp, and give BoA items like 440-450 ivl items that help while leveling. And the small scrolls throughout the zones that give you exp upon 'reading.' They also give rep, which helps later on with The Lorewalkers Sorry if my information was redundent, I hadn't read through everything, just scanned.

Comment by Glorpin on 2013-11-17T23:43:20-06:00 Nice guide, better than the one I put up:) Sweet link for players who want alts quickly. Comment by lankybrit on 2013-11-18T00:01:16-06:00 Very nice guide. Great for more inexperienced players. Comment by Qoko on 2013-11-18T03:40:48-06:00. Just to point out that the Gear/Weapon (even Trinket) heirlooms in Cataclysm zones (lvl80-85) are usually a bit weaker than the quest rewards you get. Also your heirlooms are going to be extremely weak at level 80 - since they are still in WotLK mode (unlike Cata quest rewards) and only 'scale up' to Cata item levels at level 81 - my health and damage output TRIPLED once i got level 81, but going through level 80 in 'WotLK heirlooms' has horrible. Overall, as far as Cataclysm leveling goes, Heirloom's power lies in it's Experience bonus (my gear gives me +50% exp in total) - but you will be doing slightly less damage since your lvl81-85 Heirloom items are just not as strong as green/blue quest rewards.

To be honest, at 81 through 84 the heirlooms are rare quality items of their respective level. The difference ensues cause it is possible to get higher ilvl items fairly easy due to the shorter span of the levelling areas. This is usually limited to only a few possible items per area, and wouldn't really undervalue heirlooms as a whole. 80 to 81 is not exactly a new phenomena; I usually do take a few quest rewards as replacements for heirlooms (not the 232 from the initial vendors) to do more damage, but only a 1/3 through Hyjal I usually ding 81. To add something from myself.

During MoP levelling, I deem to be kind of strong, even without the scaling, for classes that can pull a lot but lack sustained selfhealing. On my mage it didn't really help (squishy regardless), but on my prot pala and lock I found the 4% per kill to speed up chain group pulling with a minor risk of dying. The actual stat trinkets in MoP rarely benefit a main stat and are a minor upgrade otherwise.

Anyone who took a look at Experience Points (XP) over the summer is undoubtedly wondering how the project grew from a tiny US$350,000 market cap to over 1,000 times that. XP is currently trading at about 1/5 of a penny, and sits at rank #61 on CoinMarketCap.com. Experience Points, which first launched in 2016 and was relaunched this past summer, is reminiscent of coins launched in 2014 and 2015. Compared to those coins, the only real distinctions XP provides are its mining algorithm, distribution rates, and total supply.

XP does provide an interesting approach to Proof-of-Stake, giving small holders a higher PoS rate than large balances. Beyond that, XP doesn’t really offer anything. There have been a few initiatives by community members: a faucet, a game, and a store. The store allows users to purchase XP gift cards from places such as Steam. However, the XP costs of these cards are, at least currently, very inflated. The game, which pays players in XP, barely works. It is a simple match’em game, where players allegedly earn more XP for attaining higher scores.

However, pieces often fail to fall after matches are completed, creating an unplayable board filled with holes. It may be possible to earn multiple XP, but the game breaks so quickly that earning more than one XP per play is impossible.. In the end, you are actually paying to play a broken game. You can use it to receive five to 50 XP every eight hours. Pieces often fail to fall, causing many empty spaces and an unplayable board. While the XP team claims that a plugin will soon exist to allow game developers to implement XP, no current developments have been revealed., there were a number of milestones on the road map that should have been completed already.

That thread has since been locked, and a new reboot announcement thread was created, with later dates listed. With zero substance behind the project, it’s illogical to think that this coin’s growth has been natural in any way. The coin is primarily traded on Coinexchange.io, which has built a reputation as a playground for market manipulators. The exchange has made it clear it doesn’t mind bots forging volume or manipulating prices.

Because of this, Experience Points is a strong candidate for a massive pump and dump. Other evidence that indicates foul play is Binance’s coin of the month competition. In this competition, users of the exchange can vote for their favorite coin to be added to the exchange. When voting opened this morning, XP instantly received over 600 votes, which suggests some heavily coordinated botting activity, as there is no major community in place to explain the huge support. Experience Points has less than 200 followers on Instagram, under 400 subscribers on YouTube, just over 400 subscribers on Reddit, and 350 members of its Facebook group (of those, 324 joined within the past month). There are a large number of users on Discord, but that can be attributed to general Discord users exploring the most popular global channels.

With just a few minutes of research, it is clear that this project is pure vaporware. Unfortunately, some unlucky buyers have helped contribute to this massive dump.
